It is estimated that at least 100 million cardboard tubes need to be disposed of, usually by landfill, every year. That's a staggering 20,000 tonnes or 9,500,000 cubic metres of space!

Stretch Film
Stretch Film is widely used to secure pallets, mainly as a protection against dirt, theft or damage.
There are two types of film, 'Blown or Cast'. This depends on your own requirements and usage. Cast is a quieter and clearer film; Blown is a stickier film and works well in cold temperatures but is not as quiet coming off the reel.
Extended Cores
This is the popular core because of its ease of use, the operator is able to hold both ends of the core which makes it easier to walk around the pallet.
